About the Library's Information Literacy Modules

The Drake Memorial Library Information Literacy Modules are created and maintained by Drake librarians. They are learning resources faculty can use in their online, hybrid, and face-to-face classes, to teach information literacy skills and concepts.

Please contact the library with any questions.

How do I assign this module?

You can integrate this module in Blackboard, or link to it. Contact the library to find out more. (Instructions coming soon to our website!)

Also coming soon: we highly recommend adding learning assessments to this module, in order to achieve specific learning objectives. Soon, you will be able to work with a librarian to add an assessment.

What is information literacy?

Information literacy is the ability to recognize when you need information, and to be able to locate, evaluate, and effectively use the information you need.
