What is Interlibrary Loan & Resource Sharing?
This is the service that allows you to borrow resources from other libraries. Use this to:

Most items arrive in 7 - 10 business days.
Get PDFs of articles & book chapters
Average time is 3-5 days.
Interlibrary Loan Policies
The following policies apply to items requested through Interlibrary Loan:
- All received items (including billing for lost items) are subject to the borrowing policies of the lending library, and cannot be overriden.
- The following items cannot be requested:
- Textbooks
- Items on Reserve
- Patrons blocked from borrowing Drake Library books are also blocked from ILLiad.
- Re-submission of a request that was never picked up may result in a block on your account.
Information for Libraries
If you do not use OCLC resource sharing, then please request our materials using our Lending Request Form.
Our fee policy from the Policies directory:
IDS and NY libraries - no charge.
Out of state libraries - $10 IFM (loans and copies).
Media requests carry a 3-week due date with no renewals and must be returned via insured carrier.
New books (published current year plus one) carry a 4-week due date with no renewals.
Non-circulating collections are generally not available for Interlibrary Loan.
