- Open Education ConferenceThe Open Education Conference (“OpenEd”) is an annual convening for sharing and learning about open educational resources, open pedagogy, and open education initiatives. This dynamic gathering celebrates the core values of open education that strive to realize education ecosystems that are accessible, affordable, equitable and inclusive to everyone, regardless of their background.
The Open Education Conference community has gathered annually since 2004. In 2020, the conference began a transition to community governance, supported by a four-organization partnership. As of 2022, the conference transitioned to leadership by a community-elected board of directors, guided by a strategic vision. Conference operations are currently housed within SPARC. - OE Global ConferenceThe conference is the main venue for Open Education practitioners, policy builders, advocates, researchers, students, and decision-makers to share practices, network, and initiate collaborations. Participants collectively discuss the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities in open education and share their perspectives on its future direction.
- Northeast OER SummitThe Northeast Open Educational Resources (OER) Summit is a virtual event for new and experienced OER advocates offering the opportunity to learn and share effective practices in awareness building, implementation, collaboration, strategy, and research.
- SUNY OER SummitA free virtual event dedicated to sharing best practices and insights in the field of Open Educational Resources and Open Pedagogy. This summit aims to bring together practitioners from SUNY and beyond to explore innovative approaches, successful case studies, and emerging trends in OER. We welcome proposals from both SUNY and non-SUNY educators, researchers, students, administrators, librarians, and other stakeholders involved in OER.
