Book Dating @ Drake: Overview

This guide is the host site for Drake Library’s Blind Date with a Book and Speed Dating with Books.

Book Dating

In honor of National Library Lovers Month, Drake library is hosting dating with books.

Throughout the month, the library will offer Blind Date with a Book.  Blind Date with a Book is a display of selected books, discretely wrapped in brown paper and tagged with a mysterious clue as to the contents.  Participants are encouraged to review their blind date experience.

Speed Dating with Books is introducing your favorite book to new acquaintances then learning about their favorite book.  Speed Dating with books will be held online.  Campus faculty and librarians will post a review of their favorite books.  Participants are encouraged to respond with their own favorite books and/or reviews of the suggested books.

Participants who write or record a review will be awarded a rubber ducky and entry into a prize drawing.  The drawing will be held Monday, February 28th @ 8pm.  Prizes include two - $10 Amazon gift cards and two - $50 Dunn Tire gift certificate.
